The Physicians

John S. DeMare, DO

Dr. DeMare started this practice in 1978.  Since then he has devoted the majority of his life to his patient base, practice, and staff.

Dr. DeMare did his undergraduate studies at both Wayne State University and the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.  He went on to receive his degree in medicine from Michigan State University.  His internship was at Henry Ford Hospital and William Beaumont Hospital.  He is Board Certified.

Aside from loving to care for his patients, Dr. DeMare absolutely loves cars, music, and the arts.

Dr. DeMare is no longer accepting new patients; this is so he can give his current patient base all the care they deserve after so many years together.

Dr. McDonald joined the practice in 1985 and added an extra flare to Dr. DeMare's steadily growing practice.

Dr. McDonald attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate studies.  She then went on to Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University to obtain her degree in medicine.  Her internship was at Bicounty Community Hospital.  She is Board Certified.

When Dr. McDonald is not in the office she spends her time doing various, adventurous things.  She is an avid traveler, cyclist, and enjoys venturing the waterways in her boat.  She also enjoys spending time her with husband and their pets.

Dr. McDonald is no longer accepting new patients.

Joyce A. McDonald, DO

Steven R. Shepherd, DO

Dr. Shepherd added his knowledge and expertise to the practice in 1988.

Dr. Shepherd did his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.  He then went on to obtain his degree in medicine from Des Moines University, College of Osteopathic Medicine.  His internship and residency were done at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital. He is Board Certified.

Additionally, he has two beautiful daughters who followed in his footsteps by both attending university at the University of Michigan.  He spends his time out of the office either golfing, boating, exercising, or watching any Detroit or U of M sporting event.

Dr. Shepherd is always eager to welcome new patients!

Frank A. DiPonio   Jr, DO

Dr. DiPonio joined the growing practice in 2004.

Dr. DiPonio obtained his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University.  He then went on to Michigan State University where he earned his degree in medicine.  His residency was done at Mount Clemens Regional (now McLaren Macomb) where he was Lead Resident.  He is Board Certified.

Dr. DiPonio spends most of his free time with his growing family.  Although he attended MSU, Dr. DiPonio has (since birth) been a larger than life University of Michigan fan; during football season, you can find him at every single home game!  Aside from that, he adores all Detroit sports, being outdoors, and making people laugh.

Whether a new patient or an established one, he is here to care for you!
